Fewer moving parts means less to worry about. The Burton Step On Splitboard Bindings bring the ease and simplicity of the Step On system to the backcountry. Based on the same easy-to-use Spark Tesla mounting system as our Hitchhiker binding, the Step On model mounts quickly and creates a secure connection between the boot heel and binding in tour mode that makes for an efficient stride on the skin track and reduces boot wear. Less fussing equals faster transitions and more time riding.
Features:
Baseplate
- The Step On system creates a clean and simple boot-to-binding interface that lets you step right in. Toe hooks 2.0 offer responsive entry and a quick-release lever on the hi-back makes for a clean exit. No buckles. No Straps. No Fuss.
- Tesla T1 System: Bindings slide sideways into the offset touring brackets and are locked into place with the snap ramp (the part right under your toes). No pins, no cable, no fiddle factor. To ride, slide across Spark or Voilé pucks (sold separately) and again, press down the snap ramp.
- Climbing Wire: A single fatty wire with a side arm lever that allows you to easily switch from stowed to low (12°), to high (18°) climbing positions and back again while touring.
Hi-Back
- Made for Walking and Riding: Negative lean hi-back design maximizes your stride on the skin track and locks in place for riding.
Straps
- No buckles. No Straps. No Fuss.
Included
- Touring Brackets: Touring mode is included, but you’ll need Voilé or Spark pucks (sold separately) to switch into riding mode.
- Note that pucks are included with all Burton splitboards with Split Channel
Compatibility
- Compatible with all splitboards with standard insert pattern and with Burton splitboards with Split Channel
